Where the Spirit draws through the hand
Catholic Prophetic Art is a personal encounter with the Divine — an invitation to surrender the hand, to make room for the Holy Spirit, and to let the living Word become visible through line, form, and colour.
Born in Beirut, Joseph Honein is a visual artist holding a Master's degree with Distinction from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA — Université Balamand). His practice weaves together drawing, painting, and ceramics in a symbolic and spiritual inquiry that moves between figuration and abstraction.
Catholic Prophetic Art is a personal encounter with the Divine. Joseph opens himself freely to the Holy Spirit, allowing expression to emerge through line, mark, form and colour — each work a living dialogue with the sacred.
These works are not merely artworks. They are visual prayers — personal, contemporary, and contemplative — an invitation to meditate upon and dwell within the Word of God.
All works on mulberry paper — originals available on request
Each work begins not with a concept, but with prayer. These images are doorways into contemplation — visual echoes of the living Word, offered freely to whoever will stop and look.
"Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person." 1 Corinthians 12 : 4–6
